Primiero is an authentic and welcoming valley in Trentino, nestled among forests, the Pale di San Martino, and charming Alpine villages. Here you’ll find the wild nature of Val Canali, the tranquility of Mezzano (one of Italy’s most beautiful villages), and the typical atmosphere of Imer, Tonadico, and Transacqua.
Then there’s the liveliness of Fiera di Primiero and the beauty of San Martino di Castrozza, where tradition meets the energy of the mountains in every season.
San Martino di Castrozza is the most scenic heart of Primiero. Nestled at the foot of the Pale di San Martino, among high-altitude meadows and forests, it’s a place where the mountains reveal their full power, yet welcome you with style and comfort. Nature and services come together here: panoramic hikes, historic mountain huts, lifts, ski slopes, and terraces with views blend into a lively atmosphere.
Val Canali is located in the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park, just a few minutes from Tonadico, in the Primiero area. It takes its name from the stream that flows through it, the Canali Stream.
